On 9 March, the External Relations Office of the Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University (GSST) held an Overseas Study Trip Information Session in CI-101. XIA Guangzhi (Associate Dean, GSST), MA Zhenyi (Director, External Relations Office, GSST), YANG Gedan (Deputy Director, Office for Academic Affairs, GSST), GAO Chunping (Deputy Director, Student Affairs Office, GSST), ZHANG Lin (Deputy Director, General Affairs Office, GSST), and many students attended.
The meeting spanned more than two hours, during which representatives from the Japan and Australia Study Trips shared their experiences overseas of participating in workshops, visiting laboratories, immersing in a different campus culture, and learning about local customs.
XIA Guangzhi (Associate Dean, GSST) concluded the meeting, in summary noting that overseas study trips are an extension of traditional classroom teaching—a highlight of GSST’s global education system that helps students gain a broader view of the world. He expressed hope that communication between GSST and overseas universities would continue to develop and enable more students to benefit from such study trips.
