Set amidst the natural beauty of Xili Lake and the Tanglang Mountain, the Shenzhen campus occupies an area of 20 hectares and covers a total floor space of nearly 100,000 square meters. Teaching facilities include network-intelligent lecture rooms, audio-visual language laboratories, distance-learning classrooms, live broadcast studio, a simulated courtroom, and a 500-seat multi-functional hall. Students enjoy the stimulating campus environment which values diversity and academic freedom.
The campus contains the essential facilities for teaching, research and living, including classrooms, laboratories and offices, as well as dormitories, canteen, restaurant, medical centre, student society house, car park, recreation centre and sports field, all of which are linked together by an 800-meter long walkway.
The beautiful dragon shaped University Town Library spans across the Shahe River and links the campus of the Graduate Schools to the sports complex. The library is the second largest in Shenzhen, holding over 1,500,000 books mainly on science, technology, and foreign language categories. It attracts both members of the University Town community and people from all sectors of the city. The sports complex is still under intensive construction to be ready for the 2011 XXVI World Universiade.
